Varig introduce flights from the UK

Varig have announced the introduction of it's newest route beginning October 29th. The London Heathrow-Sao Paulo-Rio de Janeiro flight will operate daily apart from Thursdays with flights touching down in Sao Paulo before continuing on to Rio and is in response to increased business travel demand on this route.

 

bmi introduces fully-flat seats in business class on long-haul

Business travellers flying long haul with Bmi can now benefit from the airline's new fully-flat business class product and generous premium economy seats. Both of Bmi's long-haul A330s, which operate between Manchester and Chicago, Las Vegas and the Caribbean will offer 18 fully-flat seats in business class and 30 new seats in the premium economy cabin whilst the Jeddah and Riyadh aircraft has been fitted with 42 business class and 156 economy seats.The new business class cabin has 18 seats in a staggered 2-2-2 configuration. This is less than the previous offering of 24 seats because the seats are now fully-flat with a seat pitch of 78-80 inches and have a 26-inch width

 

Norwegian adds new services from Gatwick

Norwegian is to operate into Gatwick for the first time this coming winter season when two new routes will be introduced, Oslo and Stavanger. Oslo, capital of Norway, will be served daily (except Saturday), while Stavanger wins four weekly flights – Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Norwegian also operate out of Stansted to Bergen, Kristiansand, Oslo, Stavanger and Trondheim, with a new twice-weekly service to Tromso beginning December 8th.

 

KD Avia expands Russian network

Fourteen major Russian destinations will now be served by KD Avia flying from London Gatwick via Kaliningrad. In addition to Moscow, St Petersburg, Ufa, Kazan, Volgograd, Chelyabinsk, Omsk, Samara and Nizhniy Novgorod, five more destinations have been added by the airline including Orenburg, Ulyanovsk, Perm, Rostov-on-Don and Magnitogorsk. KD Avia flies thrice weekly from Gatwick on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday using Beoing 737-300 aircraft.

 

City Star Executive launch Aberdeen to Houston

City Star Executive makes history in the North East of Scotland with the announcement it will launch the first ever Inter-continental business only scheduled service between Aberdeen and Houston.

The service will operate four times a week between Aberdeen Airport and George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas, with operations commencing in January 2008.

Specific information on flight times and fares will be communicated in the coming weeks.

 

KLM expands American network

KLM is to introduce a daily service to Dallas Forth Worth from Amsterdam beginning in the summer season of 2008. In another move, and also for the summer season of 2008, KLM is to re-introduce a thrice weekly non-stop service to Panama City. The new service will offer numerous connections at Panama to flights operated by COPA Airlines.
